REMANESCENTES DE ÁREAS VERDES E SUA IMPORTÂNCIAPARA A QUALIDADE AMBIENTAL URBANA: INSERÇÃO DE PARÂMETROS ANALÍTICOS, INCLUINDO O GEOPROCESSAMENTO, APLICADOS AO ESTUDO DO PARQUE ESTADUAL CHÁCARA DA BARONESA, SANTO ANDRÉ/SP

Resumo

O presente artigo tem como objetivo apresentar uma proposta de inserção de parâmetros analíticos para obter o entendimento do papel que os remanescentes de áreas verdes realizam na promoção dos processos naturais dentro dos tecidos urbanos, e na consequente melhoria da qualidade ambiental dessas áreas. Foi utilizada uma abordagem teórico-metodológica para avaliar os recursos ambientais, históricos e sociais apresentados no estudo do Parque Estadual Chácara da Baronesa, em Santo André/SP, à luz de teorias como Desenho Ambiental e Ecologia da Paisagem. Para complementar foram gerados índices quantitativos e qualitativos, a partir de dados obtidos pelo sensoriamento remoto, combinados com os dados censitários do IBGE, que reforçaram a importância da área em estudo para a promoção e manutenção da qualidade ambiental urbana. Foram também avaliadas a legislação pertinente e a influência da ação dos movimentos sociais que se manifestaram a favor da criação do parque.

AREAS OF REMAINING GREEN AND ITS IMPORTANCE FOR ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY URBAN: INSERTION OF ANALYTICAL PARAMETERS INCLUDING GIS, APPLIED TO THE STUDY OF THE STATE PARK MANSION OF THE

BARONESS, SANTO ANDRÉ / SP         

ABSTRACT

This article aims to present a proposal for inclusion of analytical parameters to obtain the understanding of the role that the remnants of green areas are in promotion of the natural processes within the urban fabric, and the consequent improvement of the environmental quality of these areas. Was used a theoretical-methodological approach to assess the environmental, historical and social resources presented in the study of Farm State Park of the Baroness, in Santo André/SP, in the light of theories such as environmental design and landscape ecology. To complement quantitative and qualitative indices were generated from data obtained by remote sensing combined with census data of IBGE, which reinforced the importance of the area under study for the promotion and maintenance of urban environmental quality. Were also assessed the relevant legislation and influence the action of social movements who spoke in favour of the creation of the Park.
