Sustainability is a topic that has gained increasing attention in recent years. The conscious use of the planet's resources has been raised in political agendas. In the business world, especially in agribusiness, this issue has also become a subject of debate. The goal of this study is to understand, through a literature review, how research on sustainable practices in agribusiness can contribute to the transition from traditional to sustainable practices. The studies analyzed were selected from the Periódicos Capes database, where filters and inclusion/exclusion criteria were applied. As for the analysis technique, a comparative analysis was employed. The main findings indicate that there have been effective initiatives to transition from traditional to sustainable production models. However, obstacles still persist, particularly due to economic issues such as the expansion of extensive livestock farming. It was concluded that greater government investment and increased participation from civil society are necessary to advance this transition within agribusiness.
