Abstract

ABSTRACT

This paper proposes to analyze the urbanization of the municipality of Taubaté, SP, in addition to studying the possible impacts of this urbanization on the APA Mananciais do Rio Paraíba do Sul, more specifically in the part of the APA located within the municipality of Taubaté, SP, allied to this, it is assumed that the implementation of an APA in the locality has assisted in the preservation of the vegetation, with this, it is hoped that the preservation of the vegetation has been able to assist in the extirpation of environmental degradation in the locality of study. Several types of analysis were designed, based on cartographic and geoprocessed products. It is understood that the methodology implemented allowed for a better indication of the vegetation increment during the observed temporal spectrum.
