Urban space and green areas must seek a harmonious integration for the construction of environmentally healthy cities. However, possible beneficial designs between urbanized and more naturalized areas have not been adopted by cities that suppress green areas and channel their waters. This is the case of Fernandópolis, a city in the interior of the state of São Paulo, which has made its streams invisible, has an absence of permanent preservation areas and other green areas and suffers from urban drainage problems in several parts of its territory. However, there are possibilities for redesigning already consolidated areas, adopting green infrastructure measures, necessary to avoid environmental disasters and reintroduce vegetation amid gray infrastructure (concrete). Thus, it was proposed the analysis of critical areas of the municipality of Fernandópolis and the adoption of green typologies as a solution to the problems of flooding.
