The extension project “Raising awareness of the perception and exploration of the school environment and surroundings: experiences and training with the Corrida Amiga Institute” was developed by PGAUR-USJT in partnership with the Corrida Amiga Institute, which works on the principles of active mobility with children, emphasizing walking and accessibility through recreational games, including the Pedestrian Circuit. The practice was applied at the EEEI Soldado PM Eder Bernardes dos Santos, located in the Itaim Paulista district of São Paulo, in an area of socio-environmental vulnerability. The objective of the Pedestrian Circuit is to promote active mobility and exercise accessibility devices found in public spaces and in means of transportation that interfere with the pedestrian experience. The methodology included a discussion group on mobility and accessibility, followed by a tour of a circuit of equipment whose stations simulate situations experienced in the city. The results indicate the recognition of accessibility and urban signage devices, with students engaging in discussions about the identification, function and target audience of the devices presented, which was perceived through the students' reports on situations experienced in the city. The application of playful practices problematized the body in movement and promoted reflections on the perception and quality of the urban environment, developing a critical and sensitive understanding of public spaces and active mobility among children, promoting citizenship, inclusion and universal access.
