Law Nº 12,305, of August 2, 2010, established the National Solid Waste Policy (PNRS), regulated by Decree Nº 10,936, of January 12, 2022, provides for its principles, objectives and instruments, as well as guidelines relating to integrated management and solid waste management (PNRS, 2010). The research aims to analyze conventional and selective collection in solid waste management in RIR cities through PMGIRS, tabulate data and information regarding conventional and selective collection and compare them. In developing the research, qualitative and quantitative data and information were sought, obtained through bibliographical research and documentary research. In the bibliographical research we used books, articles, dissertations and theses that deal with the management of solid waste. Documentary research was used to obtain data and information from the Solid Waste Management Plans (PGRS) of federated entities; such as Planares, for the national level; PERS-MT, for the state level and finally and mainly, the PMGIRS of the cities that make up RIR. After collecting secondary data, we sought to organize them by creating infographics on solid waste management structures in municipalities, highlighting waste collection. The results demonstrated the absence of selective solid waste collection services in the RIR municipalities, with the exception of Rondonópolis; the absence of an environmental education program; training and qualification of professionals involved in solid waste management.
