Objective – This study seeks to investigate the relationship between cities and their green and blue infrastructures, proposing participatory methodologies and design strategies with nature-based solutions to promote urban resilience in the face of climate change, especially in contexts of resource scarcity.
Methodology – The research adopts a theoretical and applied approach, grounded in interdisciplinary literature review, analysis of national and international cases, and the application of urban resilience concepts. It also aims to incorporate artificial intelligence tools to identify patterns of land use and occupation, allowing replicability in different territories.
Originality/Relevance – The work is part of the contemporary debate on urban resilience by articulating concepts of green and blue infrastructure, Nature-Based Solutions (NBS), and watershed management. Its relevance lies in its potential to fill gaps regarding replicable methodologies in developing countries, broadening the understanding of adaptive territorial planning.
Results – The analysis identified consolidated resilient strategies in different cities, highlighting social, environmental, and economic benefits. The study proposes the Sinos River Basin as a pilot territory, whose results can be expanded to other urban contexts. The study is part of a larger research effort, involving five other fields of knowledge, aimed at creating an intelligent ecosystem for action and training.
Theoretical/Methodological Contributions – The main contribution lies in the integration between the theory of urban resilience, watershed environmental management, and NBS practices, structuring a methodological framework that combines case analysis, community participation, and artificial intelligence.
Social and Environmental Contributions – The study points to low-impact solutions that can reduce climate vulnerabilities, improve quality of life, and expand social and environmental equity. In addition, it strengthens the preservation of local ecosystems and encourages more inclusive and sustainable urban planning practices.
