Walkability, Inclusive Mobility and Accessibility for Older Adults in University Campuses

Objective – To analyze how walkability, inclusive mobility, and accessibility are applied to older adults in institutional contexts, with emphasis on university campuses and UNAPIs.
Methodology – Integrative review of 38 studies selected from 2015 to 2025 in national and international databases, with qualitative selection and analysis using the Rayyan software.
Originality/Relevance – Systematizes evidence on walkability in universities, highlighting the gap in studies and practices applied in Brazilian campuses.
Results – Evidence indicates that the perception of walkability and the replacement of sedentary time with walking have an impact on autonomy and improvement of frailty in older adults.
Theoretical/Methodological Contributions – Identification of the need for adapted instruments (including Geographic Information Systems), specific indicators, and interdisciplinary and participatory approaches.
Social and Environmental Contributions – Provides support for policies and projects aimed at more inclusive, safe, and sustainable campuses for aging in higher education.
