proposal for houses under the open building optics in the center of Bauru – SP

Abstract

Due to the appreciation of the properties and the concentration of commercial activities in the central areas of the cities, people had the need to look for places beyond that region. The ascendancy of commercial areas and residential emptying resulted in the emergence of underutilized and unused spaces, also of estimated urban violence at night. With this current problem, the implantation of multifamily housing buildings aims to reoccupy such spaces, bringing the population back to commercial and service spaces, allocating new use and occupation to the areas of urban voids, consequently, moving them. Bibliographic research was carried out by means of academic works, articles and books on the subjects relevant to the work, regarding urban morphology and its elements, highlighting the items relevant to the project, the urban voids and the inner brains, together with the study a respect for contemporary housing and its trends, such as open building and housing as an instrument for the rehabilitation of empty and degraded areas. Still in the sense of building the architectural program, case studies of works related to the theme were carried out. The analysis of the intervention area and its surroundings was fundamental for the understanding of the dynamics that occurred in the center of Bauru - SP throughout its history, and how the discontinuous and monotonous urban fabric can aggravate scenarios of violence and urban degradation. With this, the project proposal presents architectural solutions for better use of the empty spaces generated in the central urban areas, returning to the residence and users to the center
