Abstract

The article deals with an urban project proposal for a public urban park, focusing on solutions for critical areas through the use of green infrastructure and topography adequacy as a way to solve the flooding that occurs due to the channelization of the existing stream and the occupation of the sub-basin. The work is configured, therefore, as a case study at the Parque dos Pioneiros, Adamantina-SP, which is crossed by the Tocantins Stream, having as objective to search for sustainable projectual alternatives for the new design of the park seeking to solve the problems with flooding and consequent inundation, also demonstrating a friendly way for the population to live with the urban waters. To this end, the history of occupation of the area was surveyed by analyzing the situation of the park before the 2019 works that occurred due to the collapse of the drainage system and studied the contemporary concepts on sustainable technologies, in this case, green infrastructures and their main design solutions. Based on several studies and mappings, it is proposed the opening of the Tocantins Stream, the retaludation of some stretches with containment systems using bioengineering, rain gardens in certain sidewalks, in addition to flowerbeds and vegetable masses that contributed to the configuration of the Park with permanence areas for the population and permeable areas, some floodable so that the stream can accommodate in rainy periods.
