Ad Hoc Reviewer Registration

The Revista Nacional de Gerenciamento de Cidades (RNGC), published by the Associação Amigos da Natureza da Alta Paulista (ANAP), invites researchers holding a doctoral degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) to join its panel of ad hoc reviewers.

Peer review is a fundamental component of the scientific editorial process, contributing to the quality, integrity, and credibility of academic publishing. Through the critical and specialized evaluation of submitted manuscripts, reviewers contribute to the improvement of scholarly work, the advancement of knowledge, and the dissemination of scientifically and socially relevant research.

RNGC adopts the double-blind peer review system, in which the identities of both authors and reviewers remain confidential throughout the evaluation process, ensuring impartiality, ethical standards, and scientific rigor.

Reviewers are expected to provide well-founded, objective, and constructive evaluations, considering aspects such as originality, scientific relevance, theoretical and methodological consistency, quality of academic writing, adequacy of bibliographic references, and the manuscript’s contribution to its field of knowledge.

Eligibility Requirements

Researchers interested in serving as reviewers should meet the following requirements:

  • Hold a doctoral degree (Ph.D. or equivalent);
  • Have an updated Lattes Curriculum Vitae;
  • Demonstrate scientific production compatible with their area of expertise;
  • Be available to contribute to the technical and scientific evaluation of manuscripts.

Recognition of Reviewer Activity

As a way of acknowledging the valuable contribution reviewers make to the scientific community, Editora ANAP maintains an editorial credit policy for reviewers who complete manuscript evaluations.

Each completed review generates one (1) editorial credit, which may be accumulated and used to obtain discounts or publication fee waivers in the scientific journals associated with the ANAP Portal, in accordance with current editorial policies.

Credits may be used either partially or in full and, when applicable, may be shared among co-authors of the same manuscript submitted to journals of the ANAP Portal.
